There are a number of methods used to decorate faux leathers. They can be gravure printed, transfer printed, digitally printed, ink sprayed, silk screened, spanished, pearlized, metalized, flocked, or embossed. The luster levels can be adjusted to achieve a shiny patent affect, or made matte to look like Nubuck leather. Most of these processes have been around for a long time, and now the latest, most creative and cutting edge method to decorate faux leather here:  introducing The Embroidery Series. The Embroidery Series takes four basic PVC colors: brown, light brown, oxblood, and black; and brings them to life by embroidering colorful designs on them with polyester thread. This combination of two different textures and product species gives the finished look a real dimensional quality. Four base colors make up the Basic Embroidery collection that is called Beirut. The Deluxe Embroidery collection consists of 5 patterns: Acacia, Dahlia, Fleur, Lis, and Olivier; and the Ultimate Embroidery collection, which is the most intricate of the series, has two patterns: Crest and Organza. Each pattern is unique in its own way, using the different colored threads to create bold embroidered images of flowers, leaves, and geometric designs. The embroidered patterns are  not recommended for seating, but can be coordinated with the solid color Beirut pattern, or combined with textured woven fabrics such as chenilles and jacquards for pillow, headboard, and inside and outside sofa back applications.

The Embroidery Collection create unique design elements for a variety of interiors by adding unexpected splashes of color, texture and pattern to top quality base cloth. Thirteen embroidered designs are available on a variety of eight different color base cloths; we’ve added one plain (Beirut) in four popular colors as a coordinate. The designs vary in terms of intricacy, some more complex, some organic vs. geometric – we’ve worked hard to make sure that there’s something to appeal to a variety of styles and decors.

The embroidered patterns are not recommended for seating, but for pillow, headboard, and inside/outside sofa and chair back applications. Combine them with the unadorned Beirut pattern, or with textured woven fabrics such as chenille and jacquards for a sophisticated custom look.

Satin Ribbon - Available in 6 traditional colors Satin Ribbon is a new embroidery pattern with a contemporary twist. The background is 100% polyurethane with a satin visual two-tone effect, that gives dimension to overall design. Definitely a great scale for all upholstery applications.
